Looking Into Some New Equipment

I'm looking to buy some new lighting fixtures and maybe some more speakers, If you know anything about either of those, or just have some tips or suggestions drop a comment. Also if your at a rave what are the most important aspects to you. Is it the sound, lighting, atmosphere? Let me know, I want to throw the perfect raves so anything is welcome. Thanks in advance.

Numark Mixtrack Pro

I wanted to write a review on my new controller, The Numark Mixtrack Pro. It retails at around $250 and if you go to guitar center the nice folks there will price match you to an online store so you can usually get it around $230 with tax and what not. Weighs in at about 4-5 pounds which is pretty light. It's constructed of mostly plastic which gives it a slightly cheap feel, but Numark really pulled it off with the turntables. They have a really smooth spin, with an extremely sensitive pad. They work really well for scratching. The sound mixer is pretty standard, its got all the features needed for a person who is just learning and can easily handle some house parties, or even a club. The difference between the standard Mixtrack and the Mixtrack Pro is the audio out capabilities. The pro version includes a headphone port on the front along with two RCA ports on the back. This is perfect for hooking up to a professional grade PA system or even just a home theater system. Whereas the Standard Mixtrack has only the headphone out jack which unless your a fan of only playing with yourself just wont cut it. The price difference is only about $20 bucks with your price match. Trust me, you'll wanna spring for the more expensive one, It is well worth it as if you decide to upgrade later your audio add-on is gonna cost you at least a whopping $50. That $20 difference sounds pretty good now doesn't it. the controller itself will hook up to your computer via USB. Comes standard with a limited version of the Virtual DJ software, the software works very well with the system and transfers pretty seamlessly from controller to screen. I think that about covers it for a general overview. If you have any questions feel free to comment, I will answer in a timely manner. I look forward to reviewing some more equipment and even giving you guys a few tutorials in the near future.
